Funding Opportunities, Strategies and Networks for Digital Cultural Heritage Studies: DIGHT-Net Training and Networking Event

University of Bologna
28 – 20 October 2026

This three-day event brings the DIGHT-Net partners together at the University of Bologna for the event ‘Funding Opportunities, Strategies and Networks for Digital Cultural Heritage Studies: DIGHT-Net Training and Networking Event.’ The first day is dedicated to funding and proposal development, combining an overview of European funding opportunities and research support services with an internal proposal preparation workshop. The second day turns to research infrastructures and project design, with a site visit to Palazzo Poggi and the Aldrovandi Collection and presentations of successful projects and best practices. The third day addresses libraries, archives and collections in relation to digitisation, with a visit to the Umberto Eco Library, a roundtable on personal archives and libraries, and the screening of Davide Ferrario’s documentary Pensiero in movimento (2026).

The full programme can be accessed here.

Selections of the programme will be open to the public, including the ‘Funding Opportunities Session’ (28 October), and ‘Presentation of Succesful Projects and Practices I and II’ (29 October). Due to limited capacity, the site visits and the roundtable on ‘Personal Archives & Libraries’ (October 30) are open for registration, but the organisers reserve the right to select participants. For more information on participation and registration, please contact Marco Giacomazzi (marco.giacomazzi3@unibo.it).
